Welcome to our photo gallery showcasing our unforgettable trip to the Banana Cabana Primate Sanctuary on the 6th of February, 2025. As part of our Public Day Tour, we had the pleasure of experiencing a day filled with wonder and compassion at this remarkable sanctuary. Our visit began with a delectable morning tea prepared by the dedicated staff under Susan's guidance, setting a heartwarming tone for the day. We were then led on a tour of the monkey enclosures, each sheltering monkeys rescued from circuses, zoos, or individuals without permits to keep them. Nestled within the beautifully maintained grounds at Dural, the sanctuary is a testament to the care and compassion shown by Susan and her team towards these incredible animals. The oldest monkey in their care is 52 years old, equivalent to 104 human years, demonstrating the commitment to nurturing and supporting primates of all ages and abilities. Our day concluded with a feast of sandwiches and fruits, lovingly prepared by the Waterfall Cafe at Kariong. It was a truly special experience that left a lasting impression, making us eager to return.
