Join us as we embark on a five-day adventure filled with incredible experiences and unforgettable memories.
On Day 1 of the safari tour, we set off from the Central Coast, making our way to Orange via Leura. Starting bright and early at 7:30am with a convenient home pick-up service in Kariong, we then made a comfort stop at Thornleigh McDonalds for a coffee break. Our lunch stop took place in the charming Leura Village, where passengers had the option to purchase lunch or bring their own. We continued our journey with a comfort stop at the Bathurst Visitor Information Centre before arriving at our accommodation for the night, The Remington in Orange. A delicious two-course dinner awaited us at the accommodation, served alternately, to end the day on a satisfying note.
Day 2 began in Orange as we traveled to Dubbo via Yeoval. After a hearty breakfast at the accommodation, we checked out and headed to the Banjo Patterson Museum in Yeoval, where we indulged in a cuppa from their cozy café. Upon arriving at the RFDS Visitor Experience Centre in Dubbo, we enjoyed a lunch at the Outback Trek Café before immersing ourselves in a tour of the center. The highlight of the day was our visit to Dubbo Zoo, where we settled into our Zoofari Animal View or Bushland Lodge to enjoy the planned activities. From a Cocktail Happy Hour to a Giraffe Encounter and a Safari Night Tour, the day was filled with excitement and animal encounters.
As Day 3 dawned, we embarked on an early morning Safari Tour behind the scenes on the zoo’s open safari truck. Following the tour, a cooked breakfast awaited us at the Zoofari Lodge Guest House before we checked out. A tour of Dubbo Zoo in Connect Coaches' vehicle was next on the agenda, followed by a leisurely lunch at the café. In the afternoon, we arrived at Parklands Resort in Mudgee, where we had free time to explore the beautiful venue before indulging in a two-course dinner.
Day 4 was dedicated to exploring Mudgee. After breakfast at Parklands Resort, we visited Mudgee's Honey Haven and embarked on a guided stud tour of Gooree Park, known for its world-class thoroughbred breeding and extensive vineyards. The afternoon was spent exploring the town and enjoying cheese tasting at High Valley Cheese before another delightful dinner at Parklands Resort. On the final day, we bid farewell to Mudgee and set off for the Central Coast via Merriwa. A quick stop for lunch in Merriwa allowed us to admire the town's silo art before continuing our journey with a comfort stop at Branxton. The tour concluded with our return to the Central Coast by late afternoon, where our home drop-off service commenced.
