The Riverboat Postman - Friday 12th September 2024

Come cruising on the Hawkesbury Mail Boat, the famous Riverboat Postman, and enjoy the magnificent scenery of the lower Hawkesbury River as they deliver the mail and other essentials (the odd bottle of whiskey or rum...) to the river-access-only settlements upriver from Brooklyn.

The first Riverboat Postman started this run in 1910, and the tradition continues today. The skippers are locals who have lived in the area their whole lives & will entertain you with stories of the river whilst cruising in comfort up this spectacular waterway. They deliver the post to the settlements of Dangar and Milson Islands, Kangaroo Point, Bar Point, Marlow Creek, Fisherman's Point and Milson's Passage.

Morning tea & lunch will be served onboard & all their boats are fully licensed, so you can enjoy a glass of wine or beer, or a soft drink, with your lunch.

• Home pick up & drop off service (within our advertised pick up/drop off area)
• Return  transfer from the Central Coast to Brooklyn Public Wharf
• 3 hour cruise along the Hawkesbury River with commentary (10am - 1pm)
• Morning Tea - percolated coffee, hot tea & home-made ANZAC biscuits
• Lunch - Aussie Ploughman's-style plate with shaved ham, tasty cheese, tomato, zucchini, carrot, mixed lettuce, pickled onions, fresh Turkish Bread roll, pickles, fruit chutney, butter & Italian dressing
