Welcome to our photo gallery showcasing our recent visit to Glengallan Homestead during a tour to Toowoomba for the Toowoomba Garden Visit. Situated just outside of Warwick on the way to Toowoomba, this historic house offers a glimpse into the past. The property, known as Glengallan Head Station, is a heritage-listed homestead built from 1864 to 1904. Open to the public, Glengallan Homestead is a fascinating piece of Queensland's history, being added to the Queensland Heritage Register in 1992. This charming homestead, constructed between 1867-1868, sits on the slope of Mount Marshall, near the junction of the Cunningham and New England Highways. Originally located in the Darling Downs region, the discovery of the area by explorer Allan Cunningham in 1827 led to its naming and eventual identification as the Darling Downs. Offering rich soils and open rolling country, this region has a deep historical significance.
